Are You Taking Chances?
Someday we will all die. We will either live eternity in heaven or scream in hell for a LONG,
LONG, LONG time depending on our earthy lives. If we are fortunate, we will live 100 years on
earth, but eternity is longer than trillions of trillions of trillions of years. Why not be very
sure of entering heaven by living correctly with Jesus instead of risking on going down at the end
of your earthy life?
Mt 7:13-14 OOYLT
Go ye in through the strait gate, because wide is the gate, and broad the way that is leading to
the destruction, and many are those going in through it; how strait is the gate, and compressed the
way that is leading to the life, and few are those finding it!
When Jesus said the gate is small and the way is narrow, he meant it. Are you very very very sure
that you will enter heaven when you finish your earthly life?
Mt 16:24-26 OOYLT
Then said Jesus to his disciples, `If any one doth will to come after me, let him disown himself,
and take up his cross, and follow me, for whoever may will to save his life, shall lose it, and
whoever may lose his life for my sake shall find it, for what is a man profited if he may gain the
whole world, but of his life suffer loss? or what shall a man give as an exchange for his life?
Are you really giving all to Jesus?
Heb 10:26 OOYLT
For we -- WILLFULLY sinning after the receiving the full knowledge of the truth -- no more for sins
doth there remain a sacrifice,
1 Cor 6:9-10 OOYLT
have ye not known that the unrighteous the reign of God shall not inherit? be not led astray;
neither whoremongers, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor
covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, the reign of God shall inherit.
Gal 5:19-21 OOYLT
And manifest also are the works of the flesh, which are: Adultery, whoredom, uncleanness,
lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, strifes, emulations, wraths, rivalries, dissensions,
sects, envyings, murders, drunkennesses, revellings, and such like, of which I tell you before, as
I also said before, that those doing such things the reign of God shall not inherit.
Rev 22:14-15 OOYLT
`Happy are those doing His commands that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of the life,
and by the gates they may enter into the city; and without are the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the
whoremongers, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and every one who is loving and is doing a lie.
Mt 6:14-15 OOYLT
`For, if ye may forgive men their trespasses He also will forgive you -- your Father who is in the
heavens; but if ye may not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your
trespasses.
Mt 7:21 OOYLT
`Not every one who is saying to me Lord, lord, shall come into the reign of the heavens; but he who
is doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens.
WILLFULLY sinning is a mockery to God and show contempt to his precious grace. Christians can fall
away. MAJOR sins can separate them eternally from God. It is better to reach heaven by a mile than
to risk going down. Do your best to walk without sins. Sure, nobody is perfect. If you goof and sin,
Jesus's blood covers future sins, but be RESPONSIBLE to repent as the Holy Spirit convicts. Do not
treat salvation as "cheap grace".
Are you truly examining yourself when the Holy Spirit convicts you of sins OR in pride, do you blame
others? Do you truly live your life with God OR do you have one foot in the church and the other
foot in the world?
Put yourself in the place of Father God. Would he allows a sin-ridden person to enter heaven
because long time ago that person did something correct? It is like saying parents will let their
child inherit their monies despite lying and cheating because once long time ago, that child blessed
them. It is absurd!
Is it better to be liberal and say "God is so nice, he never sent anyone down to hell" and justify
your actions, OR to be extremely conservative and do your best in living correctly with Jesus? Be
conservative, take no chances, and live correctly with Jesus. Have an active faith, live a life of
repentance, and obey Jesus. Read the scripture daily, pray daily, and fellowship with other
Christians. Live a genuine Christian life and be 100% sure of your final destination.
